This is one of the lots that make up our direct relationship with producers in Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, and is a clear example of the diversity of rich flavors that coffee can develop by combining different varieties and processes.
The estate of legendary Luis Alberto Balladarez is located in the Dipilto and Jalapa mountain range in the Mozonte region, where the profiles develop juicier and with greater depth on the palate. The Maracaturra variety, native to Nicaragua, is the one suspected of achieving a spectacular and unique cup.
The process applied to this batch is identical to the one that crowned Luis Alberto at the 2020 Cup of Excellence. We must keep the details under wraps to preserve its unique character and respect the producer's work. As far as we can tell, the cherries were hand-picked at optimal ripeness. The whole cherries are then spread on African beds using a technique that produces this extraordinary flavor profile.
Our three weekly roasting days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and orders are shipped to their destination the day after roasting (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, respectively).
Please note that if your order does not contain coffee, it will be shipped the next business day after it was placed and will arrive at its destination within 48 hours (excluding holidays).
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout.
