Detailed Information
Andrés Torres is a producer who has always dreamed of living in the coffee world. Previously, he produced commercial coffees of the Nacional and Pache varieties, until one day, thanks to the advice of some neighbors, he decided to plant the Geisha variety. With the support of his wife and children, he is a producer solely dedicated to the production of specialty coffee in the Geisha Natural variety and process. Today, Don Andrés is a recognized producer of Geisha Natural coffee in the national and international markets. He is very grateful for specialty coffee and for Aromas del Valle. He believes that thanks to them, he has been able to change his life and that of his family. His goals are to continue learning new techniques and ways of handling coffee to maintain and continue improving quality, and also, to pass on his teachings to his children so that they continue the legacy of high-quality natural Geisha coffees recognized throughout the world.
In the heart of the Amazonas region, in the town of Camporredondo, Luya, lies the Santa Teresa farm, a benchmark in coffee cultivation and quality. The story of Santa Teresa began 14 years ago, when Don Andrés, a farmer passionate about the land and nature, decided to invest in coffee cultivation. Since then, the farm has witnessed the growth of the finest coffee beans, which have found in this region an ideal climate and nutrient-rich soil. Its privileged location, more than 1,700 meters above sea level, along with mild temperatures, create the perfect conditions for high-quality coffee.
Currently, Finca Santa Teresa has a total area of 3 hectares dedicated to Geisha Coffee production. Today, it is a reflection of the effort and dedication of those, like Don Andrés, who believe in the richness of the Camporredondo land. Here, coffee is not just a product, but a story of love and passion for nature and a job well done.
Extraction recipe
In a V60, add 12g of medium-coarse ground coffee and pour in 94°C water in several pulses: 50g + 50g + 100g (200g of water in total). Total extraction time ~2:00 min.
Roasting and Shipping
We roast to order, which means we don't keep roasted coffee in stock at the shop. As a matter of routine, we have three roasting days per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (excluding public holidays). If you place your order before 8:00 a.m. on one of those days, your coffee will be roasted that same day; otherwise, it will be roasted the next day. Orders are sent to their destination the day after they are toasted (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday respectively). Please note that if your order does not contain coffee, it will be shipped the next business day after it is placed and will arrive at its destination within the following 48 hours (excluding holidays). Shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process.
