Hnos. Contreras Champion Filter

This lot is part of our direct trade initiative in the Huila Department. Here, we work alongside Coocentral, a cooperative whose values are complete transparency and the well-being of producers, promoting their economic security. On this occasion, the lot was presented at the Huila Regional Coffee Championship, where it secured first place.

The Contreras brothers are an example of a perfectly executed generational handover. Their first step was to focus on producing specialty coffee. Subsequently, with the help of Right Side Coffee, they have increased their knowledge and infrastructure, reflecting technique and precision in their processes.

This coffee has been hand-harvested, selecting only the ripe fruit. The coffee cherry rests for a few hours before being depulped the next day, and fermented at a controlled temperature for 80 hours. Finally, it is dried for 15 to 20 days until it reaches its optimal moisture point.
