Every season we travel to Colombia to visit the Department of Huila, one of the best areas in the country for coffee plant growth and good performance.
This past year, Joaquín participated as a judge in the municipal championship of Guadalupe, where several emerging producers presented their coffees. Thanks to that, we were able to connect with Euclides, who presented this lot that took 3rd place.
Euclides, 65, has been involved in coffee since he was young alongside his father, who taught him the trade from childhood. He started harvesting on the family farm, and since he enjoyed the work so much, he decided to bet on having his own farm: it is located in Vereda Bella Vista, in the Municipality of Guadalupe, within a range of 1500 to 1700 masl.
Some of the varieties he works with there are Supremo, Castillo, Caturro, F6.
He is always seeking to improve his fermentations, paying close attention to the quality of the bean.
After a selective harvest, the coffee is washed and then sun-dried where it rests for about 20 days until it reaches optimal humidity.
We roast to order, which means we don't keep roasted coffee in stock at the shop.
As a matter of routine, we have three roasting days per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (excluding public holidays). If you place your order before 8:00 a.m. on one of those days, your coffee will be roasted that same day; otherwise, it will be roasted the next day.
Orders are sent to their destination the day after they are toasted (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday respectively).
Please note that if your order does not contain coffee, it will be shipped the next business day after it is placed and will arrive at its destination within the following 48 hours (excluding holidays).
Shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process.
