Esperanza SL34 Natural Mystic

This is one of the lots that make up our direct dealing action with producers in Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, and are a clear example of the diversity of rich flavors that coffee can develop by playing with different varieties and processes.

Finca “La Esperanza” is located in the Dipilto and Jalapa mountain range and shares ownership with Finca “Un Regalo de Dios.” Luis Alberto Balladarez, in addition to being the owner of the farm, is a parish priest, and one of his main motivations for working in this sector is to help everyone involved. This micro-lot of the SL34 variety is very special and unique, as this variety is commonly grown in African countries such as Kenya and Tanzania.

"Natural Mystic" is part of a series of processes that Right Side Coffee has developed with producers at origin. The cherries have been fermented underwater with different resting periods to achieve cleaner, more defined notes. Finally, the whole cherries have been spread out on shaded African beds where they dry for about 25 days.
