This lot is part of our direct marketing initiative in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee. Its optimal terroir and climate allow coffee trees to grow wild, developing unique native varieties that capture the richness of their origins.

Yirgacheffe, a region in the Gedeo area, is notable for its flat topography and lush, humid forests. These conditions contribute to the uniqueness of Ethiopian coffee, which is mostly grown in lush native forests, making most Ethiopian coffees organic by nature.

Located at 2,128 meters in Wogida, Yirgacheffe, Kasahun Jabo's 5-hectare farm is a model of sustainable agriculture and gentle coffee processing. Kasahun cultivates Kurume, 74110, and Wolisho varieties, employing composting, intercropping, and rejuvenation techniques, along with meticulous soil and water management to nurture his crops. Although his cherries are not floated, they are carefully sorted to ensure consistency. The drying process takes place on well-maintained raised beds, supporting his focus on producing well-processed coffee.
