Cold brew is a beverage made by infusing ground coffee in room temperature water for several hours. This method, which you'll especially enjoy during the warmer months, preserves the coffee's character and allows us to discover new ways to enjoy our usual caffeine.

Medium/Coarse (we recommend playing with this variable until you find your preferred grind setting for this recipe).

Amount
60g of coffee for 600g of water

Infusion time
6 hours

Water temperature
Ambient temperature

Advice
To get the most out of your freshly roasted coffee, we recommend having a good grinder, a scale, a timer, and filtered water on hand.

Steps

Step 1

Weigh and grind 60g of coffee (medium coarseness, our 'AeroPress Ground' option from the Shop), preferably with Filter Roast and divide it into two parts.

Step 2

Place half of your coffee (30g) in the filter of your Cold Brew system. Start your timer and slowly add 300g of room temperature water.

Step 3

At 03:00, place the other half of your coffee (30g) in the filter and carefully add another 200g of water. Once most of the water has filtered through, add another 100g, ensuring all the coffee is thoroughly saturated.

Step 4

Place the lid on and refrigerate for 6 hours, avoiding moving it during this period.

Step 5

Once the steeping time is up, remove the filter. For extra clarity, strain the resulting beverage through a paper filter (or two). We recommend diluting this concentrate with a little cold water or ice first.

Step 6

And, ready to refresh you!
