Don't know which coffee to choose? Start with the label.

A few months ago, we redesigned our coffee labels with a very simple idea in mind: to help you choose better. Because we know it's not always easy to identify which coffee suits your tastes, and we wanted to make it a little easier for you.

Every bag of Right Side coffee that reaches your hands represents many decisions. One of them—and a significant one—is how we classify our coffees according to their sensory profile and processing method. For this, our head roaster, Joaquín Parra, and the quality control team taste, analyze, and group each new batch that enters the roaster.

The result: two colors on each label.
One indicates the sensory profile, the other the type of process.

What do the colors mean?

  • Sensory profile: Unique, Floral, Fruity or Sweet.
This category guides you on the main tasting notes and flavor profile you can expect in the cup.

  • Process type: Washed, Natural, Honey or Decaffeinated
The method used to process the coffee at origin directly influences its flavor and complexity.

Additionally, in the upper left part of each label you will find a letter that indicates the type of roast :
F for filter and E for espresso.

This detail is not insignificant: each coffee is roasted specifically for the type of extraction. Joaquín Parra, our Head Roaster—and multiple-time SCA Roasting Champion—is responsible for developing each roast profile individually.
Their job is to respect and enhance the flavors previously defined at the source, adapting the roasting process so that they express the best in each method.

Which roast should I choose?

It depends on your coffee maker. Here's a quick guide:

  • Espresso Roast (E): ideal for espresso machines or Italian (moka) and super-automatic coffee machines.

  • Filter Roast (F): designed for methods such as V60, Chemex, AeroPress, French press or cold brew.

Find the coffee that suits you

You might discover that you prefer floral coffees with natural fermentation, or that you always come back to sweet and balanced washed coffees. Either way, our labels are designed to make that journey more intuitive and insightful.

Now that you know how they work, explore the cafes according to your taste, play with combinations, repeat your favorites or dare to try something new.
Ultimately, it's about enjoying the journey.
